Taipei City Launches New Year Furniture Promotion with Up to 58% Off at Nanchang Furniture Street

Want to welcome a year of wealth and prosperity? “Celebrate the New Year in Taipei 2013” has launched the “Nanchang Furniture Street New Year Lucky Month” campaign to align with the tradition of refreshing your home before the new year. From now until January 31, customers who spend over NT$10,000 at participating stores will receive a free feng shui wealth-attracting lamp (valued at NT$4,300). Merchants are also offering end-of-year promotions, with discounts as low as 42% off, aiming to bring good luck and fortune for the new year.

Taipei City Department of Commerce Director Huang Yiyu stated that as the new year approaches, many people have the need to replace furniture during their traditional house-cleaning and renewal rituals. However, with so many options available, how to choose furniture that fits home decor and enhances the overall fortune of the household is a concern for many consumers. To address this, they have specially invited feng shui master Tsai Shangji to teach the public 2013 fortune and wealth attraction techniques, and have gathered 12 merchants in the Nanchang Furniture Street area to launch the “New Year Lucky Month” campaign. During the event period, customers who spend over NT$10,000 at designated stores will receive a free feng shui wealth-attracting lamp. Merchants are also offering end-of-year promotions, with discounts as low as 42% off.

 

Tsai Shangji offered feng shui advice for home layout to attract wealth and good fortune. The living room governs family and career life; compared to wooden or rattan chairs, thick and spacious sofas can enhance family harmony and improve career luck. The dining area governs the family’s material well-being and should have its own space. If merged with the living room, it may cause the male (or female) breadwinner to overwork. It’s recommended to use a screen to create a separate dining area. When choosing dining tables and chairs, opt for sturdy designs—high-backed chairs with support are better than foldable stools. The bedroom affects marital relationships and individual fortune. The headboard and side cabinets next to the bed serve as support and stability—essential elements when selecting a bed set in the Year of the Snake.

 

To meet the demand for new year furniture shopping, Nanchang Furniture Street merchants are offering discounts as low as 42% off. Merchants such as Yimei Furniture, Yuejia Furniture, and Qiaoban Furniture are offering limited-time sofa clearance deals with discounts as low as 46%. Yihua Furniture and Tianmei Furniture are offering discounts on small living room coffee tables and teak high stools, starting at 42% off. Dali Furniture and Jufang Furniture are offering 60% off camphor wood bedroom sets and free latex pillows and mattress protectors with mattress purchases.
