Wuyang Red Chamber Industrial Tourism Cultural Park Scenic Area
Research has confirmed that Cao Xueqin, the author of China’s literary masterpiece *Dream of the Red Chamber*, was originally from Caojia Village, Baofeng Village, Wuyang Town, Nanchang County, Jiangxi Province. Wuyang Town boasts superior geographical conditions with highly accessible transportation, featuring an extensive network of cement roads. The climate in Caojia is pleasant, making it suitable for visits all year round. The Memorial Hall of Cao Xueqin’s Ancestral Hometown is planned to cover an area of 120 acres and will consist of a memorial hall, an antique-style street, a cultural square, the Cao Family Ancestral Temple, a statue of Cao Xueqin, a parking lot, green landscaping areas, and other attractions. It is a key project in the city’s recent tourism master plan.
