Introduction:

The Qiánlóng Ancient Well is situated in the central area of Dōngzhuāng Village, Sānjiāng Town. Its rim is hewn from coarse gravel, and on the west side of the rim is an inscription that reads “Erected auspiciously in the winter month of the Qiánlóng Ding Si year” (Note: The Qiánlóng Ding Si year corresponds to 1798 AD, which was actually the second year of the Jiāqìng reign). The well platform is made of red sandstone. There is still water in the well, but local residents no longer use it as a water source.
