Introduction:

The Deng Clan Ancestral Hall is situated in the middle of Moshan Village, Liantang Town. It was originally constructed in the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, and its outer walls were reconstructed in the early years of the Republic of China. The ancestral hall is built with a post-and-lintel and through-tenon wooden framework. The wooden brackets beneath the beams, the lintels, and the coffered ceilings are all original components from the late Qing Dynasty. The hall has a depth of two bays, and its exterior walls are made of greyish-blue bricks with pointed joints. It has a red stone gate, carved floral brackets, and a red stone lintel. The outer border of the plaque on the lintel is decorated with cloud patterns, while the inner part bears the raised relief characters “Deng Clan Ancestral Hall” in regular script.
