The Chenggangling Site is situated on Chenggangling Hill, northeast of Nanchou Natural Village, Shanxia Village, Sanjiang Town, Nanchang County. It spans around 350 meters from north to south and about 100 meters from east to west. The terrain is higher in the south and lower in the north, taking on a shape similar to a right foot. The upper part of the hill remains mostly uncultivated, but parts of the lower western area near the village have been cleared for growing dryland crops. Numerous stamped pottery shards from the Shang to Zhou dynasties have been unearthed at various locations across the site. It holds certain reference value for studying the production and life of early inhabitants during the Shang and Zhou periods.

Approximately 20 meters southwest of the Chenggangling Site are Nanchou Natural Village and Shanxia Primary School in Shanxia Village, Sanjiang Town. At the eastern foothills, along the old course of the Fu River, lies the municipal-level cultural heritage site—Xiufeng Bridge.

On May 7, 2010, the People's Government of Nanchang County designated it as a cultural heritage site under the fifth batch of protections by Nanchang County.
