Qingfengshanxi Site

The Qingfengshanxi Site is a cultural heritage site protected by Nanchang County.

The Qingfengshanxi Site is situated on a small hill about 360 meters east of Lijia Natural Village, Banhu Village, Guangfu Town, Nanchang County. It measures 150 meters in length from north to south and 70 meters in width from east to west, with a total area of around 10,000 square meters. The northern part of the terrace is primarily used for vegetable farming, while the southern part is mainly occupied by burial sites. In early 2009, the Jiangxi Provincial Archaeological Team carried out emergency excavations at the site to facilitate the construction of the “Xiangpu Railway,” unearthing a large number of pottery fragments from the Western Zhou Dynasty. The central part of the terrace has been bisected east-west by the newly built “Xiangpu Railway.”

The artifacts and pottery shards unearthed at the Qingfengshanxi Site provide important primary data for the study of the production and life of people during the Western Zhou period.

On May 7, 2010, the People's Government of Nanchang County designated it as a cultural heritage site under the fifth batch of protections by Nanchang County.
