Former Site of Baicheng Township Government Office

The Former Site of Baicheng Township Government Office is a cultural relic protection unit of Nanchang County.

The “Former Site of Baicheng Township Government Office” is situated at the entrance of Baicheng Village, Huangma Township, Nanchang County, Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province. It faces south and has a construction area of 243 square meters. It is a symmetrical wooden building with a single courtyard, featuring a two-courtyard, post-and-lintel style layout. Originally constructed in 1926 by a local landlord, the building was taken over by the state after the liberation and allocated to five farming households as residences. Later, the residents moved out, and starting in 1953, the site became the office of the “Baicheng Township Government.” In 2005, it was privately purchased by Zhang Zhifeng. It serves as valuable evidence for the study of township-level governance and residential architecture.

Baicheng Village in Huangma Township is located along the Fu River and has historically been an important commercial hub. The “Former Site of Baicheng Township Government Office” is surrounded by shops and residences.

On May 7, 2010, the People’s Government of Nanchang County designated it as part of the fifth batch of Nanchang County Cultural Relic Protection Units.
