Yongquan Cave is located at the western foot of Mount Lu, in Yongquan Township, 28 kilometers west of Jiujiang County. It earned the name “Yongquan Cave” (Surging Spring Cave) because clear springs gush out with great force. The area is surrounded by peaks, features crystal-clear streams, pine trees embracing rocks, and bamboo groves providing a lush backdrop, all contributing to an elegant natural environment. To the west, it borders Ruichang City, and the Jiu-Rui Highway runs right beside the cave, making it extremely convenient for tourism and transportation...

The scenic area covers 100 acres and is fully equipped with tourism reception infrastructure. Facilities include a hotel restaurant, tourist reception office, office building, shopping store, parking lot, and more, with a total construction area of 8,000 square meters. The cave is divided into eastern and western halls, with the western hall currently open to visitors. Spanning over 13,000 square meters, the tour route extends more than 1,400 meters. The western hall contains 10 scenic clusters and over 130 individual sites, renowned for their grandeur, wonder, intricacy, and serenity. It is hailed as the “Number One Cave in Southern China.” Since its opening to the public in 1983, it has welcomed around 60,000 visitors annually and is an important part of the Mount Lu Scenic Area.

Yongquan Township: Yongquan Township in Jiujiang County is located in the western part of the county and is named after its springs. To the northeast, it borders Xintang Township; to the south, it connects with Minshan; and to the southwest and northwest, it borders the boundaries of Jiuyuan, Hongling, and Guilin Subdistrict Offices in Ruichang. The township covers an area of 49.62 square kilometers. The township government is headquartered in Lijiapu, 27 kilometers east of the county seat. The township administers 7 village committees, 111 villager groups, 103 major natural villages, and has a total population of 16,261.

The entire township is characterized by hilly and mountainous terrain, with higher elevations in the south and lower in the north, and relatively flat areas to the east and west.
