Dashukou Waterfall is a scenic spot recently developed by the Lushan Administration, also known as the Rainbow Waterfall. Often after the rain clears, you can see colorful rainbows under the brilliant sunshine here. It is said that the "Milky Way" in Li Bai’s poem “Sunlight streaming on Incense Stone kindles a violet smoke; / Far off I watch the waterfall plunge to the long river; / Flying waters descending straight three thousand feet, / Till I think the Milky Way has tumbled from the nine skies of heaven.” refers to this Dashukou Waterfall. However, as time has passed, the waterfall has transformed into more of a “cultural site” and no longer possesses its former grandeur. Nevertheless, the water is cool and particularly refreshing—just dipping your feet in instantly relieves the heat from walking. Nearby attractions include Immortal Pointing the Way, Eagle Beak Rock, Camel Peak, and Huangdan Pass. Dashukou Waterfall is also a typical glacial relic.
