The Rainbow Flying Waterfall is the most famous attraction in the Dakou Scenic Area. With a drop of 90 meters and a width of 40 meters, the waterfall is formed by streams converging from Hanpo Ridge, Dayue Mountain, and the eastern slopes of Five Elders Peak. Its water source flows year-round, reaching its most spectacular state in spring. During floods, it roars like thunder and surges through the valley like a startled dragon. Standing beneath the Rainbow Flying Waterfall feels as if the blue sky has opened a small hole, with heavenly river water cascading down the steep cliffs and deep valleys. Because the waterfall faces east, on clear mornings, rainbows appear brilliantly, creating an extraordinarily magnificent sight.
