Bilongtan Waterfall

There are many waterfalls on Mount Lu named with the character "dragon," such as Wolong Pool, Shenlong Pool, Wulong Pool, and Huanglong Pool. About ten li from Guling on Mount Lu, nestled within layers of rock and secluded forests, lies a vast pool — this is the "Bilongtan Waterfall," also known as the Wangjiapo Waterfall. This waterfall was discovered in the early 1920s by a woodcutter, and since then, visitors from all over have flocked to see it, considering it one of the most spectacular sights on the northern side of the mountain. Its waters originate from the northern foothills of Suozigang. Due to the area's layered rocks and rugged stone formations, the water winds and flows in a meandering path. Before entering Bilongtan, the stream splits into three tiers of cascading waterfalls, each tier forming two white, ribbon-like falls that stretch together for dozens of meters, resembling twin dragons descending from the sky into the pool. Next to the pool stands a "Waterfall Viewing Pavilion." In the pool, there is also a large rock lying across, and standing on it offers an eastern view of Poyang Lake.
