The "Chinese Surnames" Ancestral Culture Park is located in Tongshuyuan Village, Wenquan Town, Xingzi County, at the southern foot of Mount Lu, nestled against Mount Lu and adjacent to Poyang Lake, boasting beautiful scenery.

Surname culture is among the oldest and most profound forms of folk culture. The formation and establishment of China's surname culture date back to the Western Zhou Dynasty. With only minor additions over time, it has remained largely in its original form for nearly three thousand years, demonstrating its strong vitality and enduring legacy.

The culture park takes the Song Dynasty version of the "Hundred Family Surnames" as its main theme—Zhao, Qian, Sun, Li, Zhou, Wu, Zheng, Wang—catchy and memorable, chanted for over a thousand years. The "Three Character Classic," "Hundred Family Surnames," and "Thousand Character Classic" are foundational texts in traditional Chinese education and have played a positive role in promoting the spread of classical Chinese learning.

The park primarily showcases the origins of surnames, the founding ancestors of each surname, notable figures bearing those surnames, and related stories. Centered around surname culture, the park’s scenic spots and narratives are mainly inspired by Western Zhou myths, ancient legends, and Taoist tales. These stories celebrate family, marriage, reproduction, longevity, career success, wealth, and fortune, all complementing the park’s central theme. The park is rich in traditional Chinese cultural content. It also features modern interactive activities such as recording contemporary examples of filial piety and virtue, preserving family records, intangible cultural heritage songs, and the Nüwa creating humans mythology display. The park also offers local specialty farmhouse dining.
