The Site of the Nanchang Uprising and the Lushan Conference is a classic red tourism attraction.

The Site of the Nanchang Uprising and the Lushan Conference is located at No. 336, Middle Fifth Road, East Valley, Lushan. Originally known as the Xianyan Hotel on Lushan, it was built in 1910, covers an area of 336 square meters, features a brick-and-wood structure, and is a three-story building. On July 21, 1927, nine individuals—Borodin, Qu Qiubai, Li Lisan, Nie Rongzhen, Deng Zhongxia, Lin Boqu, Ye Ting, Peng Pai, and Guo Liang—held a meeting in the hotel’s kitchen (as Lin Boqu’s uncle was the chef there at the time) to further analyze the situation, study the program and plan for the Nanchang Uprising, and make decisions regarding the leadership arrangement and the timing of the uprising. On the 26th, Zhou Enlai, Peng Pai, Chen Geng, and others arrived at Lushan and stayed at this site. On the 27th, they walked down the mountain to Dean, then took a train to Nanchang, where the Front Committee was established that same day. Between June 4–15, 1937, and on August 5, 1946, Zhou Enlai twice stayed here while meeting with Chiang Kai-shek to discuss Kuomintang-Communist cooperation and peace talks.
