Tomb of Chen Yinke

The Tomb of Chen Yinke is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Strictly speaking, there is no official designation as the "Tomb of Chen Yinke." Generally, the site in the Lushan Botanical Garden in Jiujiang, Jiangxi, where it is inscribed that "Chen Yinke and his wife Tang Yun rest here forever," is referred to as the "Tomb of Chen Yinke."

On June 16, 2003, Chen Yinke and Tang Yun were laid to rest in the Lushan Botanical Garden. The site is made up of several rocks of varying shapes. One upright, elongated rock bears the inscription on its front: "Chen Yinke and Tang Yun rest here forever," and on its back: "Erected with respect by Chen Liuqiu, Chen Xiaopeng, and Chen Meiyuan at the Lushan Botanical Garden." Another slightly oval-shaped rock features calligraphy by Huang Yongyu that reads: "Independent spirit, free thought."

Protected area: 30 meters outward from the tomb in all directions. Area: 1,500 square meters
