General's Forest

Located in the Ecological Sightseeing Area at an altitude of 560–580 meters, the chestnut trees were planted by students from the Senior Cadre Department of the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University during their free time in 1941 on a 10-hectare plot. The trees have flourished over the years, standing 3–5 meters tall with trunk diameters of approximately 20 cm, totaling 1,100 trees that bear abundant fruit every year. After 1990, veteran students of the university would visit the forest during their trips to Xingtai to find the chestnut trees they had planted themselves. It has since been fondly referred to as General's Forest.
