Tianmayang Manor

Tianmayang Manor is located in Beishangwang Village, Huining Town, Xingtai County, about 15 kilometers from the city center, and covers an area of over 10,000 square meters. It is one of the best-preserved landlord manors in southern Hebei. The manor was built starting in 1914 and completed in 1917. Its main buildings consist of 172 rooms, two gardens, and facilities such as a private school, stables, living quarters, a theater. The manor faces south and is enclosed by a five-meter-high bluestone wall lined with battlements and densely packed gun ports. The main gate is arched, with brick carvings on the doorposts and lintel that read “Bao Wei Lou” (Guardian Tower) in bold characters. Above it are decorative patterns. The imposing towers feature the three regular-script brick-carved characters “Bao Wei Lou” (Guardian Tower), prominently positioned in the center of the passageway. On either side, there are two quadrangle courtyards interconnected via front and rear halls, each with 18 rooms, complete with main gates and secondary gates. carved from a single piece of bluestone. Tianmayang Manor is a folk estate that integrates culture, history, and craftsmanship. In 1993, it was designated by the People’s Government of Hebei Province as part of the third batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites.
