The Shigu Ridge Scenic Area is located on the eastern foothills of Mount Sanqing, north of Jinsha Village, and is a newly developed scenic spot. Its most distinctive feature is the concentration of flowing springs and waterfalls. Famous ones include the Jade Curtain Waterfall, Chuanqiao Dual-Colored Waterfall, and Shimen Four-Tiered Waterfall, each with its own unique charm. In addition, there are scenic highlights such as Shigu Ridge, Echoing Wall, Mandarin Duck Pool, Three Apricots Embracing a Plum, Spring Water Rock, and Eight Immortals Cave.

The Jinsha Stream is the upper reaches of the Xin River. It originates from the Kuahe Gully of Mount Sanqing, winds southward along the eastern part of the mountain, passes through Yushan and Shangrao, and flows into the Xin River. The upper section features many cliffs and precipices, with flowing springs and waterfalls. Shigu Ridge stands by the Jinsha Stream and gets its name from a peculiar rock on the mountaintop that resembles a drum. The mountain is covered with lush bamboo and pine, and dotted with rare flowers and fragrant grasses. To its north lies the Jade Curtain Waterfall, which is 34 meters high and 30 meters wide, resembling a white curtain hanging and pouring down into the pool with a thunderous roar. It is one of the largest waterfalls on Mount Sanqing.

Southeast of Shigu Ridge, at the foot of Heshang Mountain, there are the Chuanqiao Dual-Colored Waterfall and the Shimen Four-Tiered Waterfall. The Chuanqiao Dual-Colored Waterfall is located to the south of the mountain. Due to the minerals in the rocks, the waterfall splits into two colors—one side white and the other red—creating a striking contrast. The Cliffside Mandarin Duck Pool also displays golden hues. The Shimen Four-Tiered Waterfall is situated on the eastern side of Heshang Mountain. The waterfall water gushes out from a narrow natural stone gate at the mountain’s summit, cascading straight down the cliff. It splits into two tiers after encountering a huge rock, then flows around the rock to form a third tier. After flowing back 100 meters, it plunges from a 70-meter-high cliff into a deep pool, creating a four-tiered waterfall with a total height of over 100 meters. It is majestic and spectacular, and rarely seen in China.
