The recent snowfall caused by the cold front has led to nearly five centimeters of snow accumulation. This, combined with low temperatures, has resulted in icy and slippery paths, especially increasing dangers in wind-exposed scree slope areas. To allow the ecosystem of the Yushan area to rest and recover, reduce the impact of mountaineering and recreational activities on the natural ecology and environment, and lower the risks associated with climbing during snowfall, Yushan recently announced that from February 1 to February 28, a one-month quiet period will be implemented in the Yushan area. Entry activities along the Yushan Main Peak and Cluster Peaks routes will be suspended during this time.
