Xingtai Forest Park

Xingtai Forest Park is located in the northern suburbs of Xingtai City, bordered by National Highway 107 to the west, the Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway to the east, the southern bank of the Baima River to the north, and the North Third Ring Road of Xingtai City to the south.

Originally established in 1956 as the state-owned Changxin Forest Farm of Xingtai County, the park now covers a forested area of 5,580 mu, with a planned total area of 9,000 mu.

The park has a forest coverage rate of 80.7%, earning it the reputation of being “a jade in the plains.” It boasts rich flora and fauna, including over 140 species of woody plants from 38 families, nearly 160 species of wild animals, 3,952 mu of plantation forest, 2,600 mu of nursery land, and more than 300 mu of water bodies and wetlands. Major forest landscapes include a thousand-mu locust forest, a temperate botanical garden, a high-quality seedling breeding nursery, and a fruit-picking garden.

With forests, wild grasses, water surfaces, and migratory birds, this urban “green lung” offers harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
