Yangtang Temple

Yangtang Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

To the west of Baxian Cave, Yangtang Temple was built during the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty. Although the temple has now been destroyed, its ruins still include the Heart-Cleansing Spring, Stone Flag and Drum, Chessboard Rock, Thousand-Buddha Cliff, and Xiangyun Bell.

In January 1949, a detachment of the Wan-Jian-Gan Guerrilla Brigade advanced into Huaiyu Mountain and operated in the areas around Baxian Cave, Fenglin, Fangkuang, and Jinsha at the foot of Mount Sanqing. The guerrilla fighters once camped inside the temple.
