“Duoxian Bridge,” also known as “Trial Heart Bridge,” is commonly called “Three Steps, Two Bridges.” It is located in the main peak area of Tianzhu Mountain. Crossing Duoxian Bridge requires extreme caution—those without courage or a strong will find it difficult to cross, hence its nickname “Trial Heart Bridge.” A local saying goes: “Everyone who reaches the bridge becomes an immortal.”

Once you cross Duoxian Bridge, you’ll arrive at a platform no larger than 10 square meters, featuring one large and one small stone pit known as the “Heavenly Pools.” Though less than a foot deep, the water is crystal clear—remaining unaffected by prolonged rain yet never drying up in drought.

The edge of the Heavenly Pools platform is a sheer cliff that inspires awe, known as Trial Heart Cliff. This is the best spot to view the “Tianzhu Mountain Buddha’s Light.” When thick fog fills the valley and bright sunlight shines in a blue sky, a dazzling seven-colored halo may appear above the white mist—an extraordinary sight. Even more remarkable, your shadow will be cast within this magnificent ring of light.
