The Golden Sand Creek Dreamland Water Town Scenic Area is situated in the suburbs of Yushan County, extending about 20 kilometers from the Qiyi Power Station at the Sanqing Lake Reservoir in the north to the Yuhong Bridge beneath Wuan Mountain in the south. The area consists of seven themed sections: Ancient Weir & Long River, Bingxi Fishing Village, Reed Marsh Maze, Azure Water & Flower Isle, Misty Tides on Ting River, Ming City Wall Ruins Cultural Park, and Dreamland Water Town Comprehensive Tourism Service Area. Through water-based tourism activities such as bamboo raft sightseeing cruises, inflatable raft thrill rides, traditional wooden boat heritage tours, and leisurely yacht trips, the area vividly showcases Yushan’s historical culture, natural landscapes, and local customs, creating an expansive and richly layered “Journey Along Stream and Mountain” painting in southeastern Jiangxi. By combining misty rafting, night rafting, rainy rafting, eco-experiential drifting, and wetland scenery, the roughly 20-kilometer main channel of Golden Sand Creek from the tailrace outlet of the Qiyi Power Station to the Yuhong Bridge has been developed into a cohesive, systematically curated national 4A-level tourist attraction—making it China’s most poetic and picturesque river for drifting and boating.

Bingxi Subdistrict: Bingxi Subdistrict is located on the banks of the Bingxi River, an upper tributary of the Xin River, and serves as the seat of Yushan County. The subdistrict currently covers a total area of 55.5 square kilometers, including 847 hectares of arable land, 856 hectares of mountainous terrain, and 221 hectares of water bodies. It administers 15 community neighborhood committees and 10 agricultural administrative villages, with a permanent resident population of 153,300, of which 24,200 are agricultural residents.
