The Former Residence of Fang Zhimin is a classic red tourism destination.

The former residence of Fang Zhimin is located in Huangwu Village, Shiligang Township, Leping City, about 54 kilometers from the city center. This residence is a typical example of the overhanging-eave gable-wall style dwellings common in southeastern Leping during the 20th century. Nestled against mountains and near water, it enjoys an elegant environment. The site covers a total area of approximately 140 square meters, with a built-up area of about 70 square meters.

In 1927, after leading the... in Yiyang's Qigong Town, Fang Zhimin was pursued by enemies. On the night of September 27 of the same year, escorted by his brother-in-law, he secretly came to the home of Wang Qifen in Huangwu Village, Leping. Fang Zhimin resided safely in the village for over 40 days and carried out a series of revolutionary activities.

In 1958, Fang Zhimin’s wife, Miao Min, wrote the monograph "Comrade Fang Zhimin in Huangwu." In October 1983, it was designated as a cultural relics protection unit of Leping County, and in 2001, it was awarded the status of a National Patriotic Education Base.

Fang Zhimin, a native of Yiyang County, Shangrao City, Jiangxi Province, joined the Socialist Youth League of China in August 1922. In March 1923, he became a member of the Communist Party of China. Shiligang Town: A township under the jurisdiction of Leping City. Established as Nangang Township in 1950, it was reorganized as the Shiligang Reclamation Farm in 1960, changed back to Nangang Commune in 1962, reverted to Shiligang Reclamation Farm in 1970, and finally became Shiligang Township in 1984. Located on the southeastern edge of the city, the township government is seated in Nangang, 37.5 kilometers from the city center. It covers an area of 79.5 square kilometers with a population of 15,000. The Zhonghuang Highway passes through the area.
