Water Curtain Cave (Zhanggu Karst Cave)

Water Curtain Cave, originally named Zhanggu Karst Cave, is located three kilometers from the Strange Stone Forest Scenic Area. It is the largest underground river and the most spectacular karst cave in East China. The cave stretches over 7,000 meters, with 1,000 meters currently open to visitors, while a 900-meter cave rafting experience is under development. Water Curtain Cave — a magical and marvelous subterranean world that offers endless fun for visitors.

Inside the cave, rivers crisscross and stalactites abound, featuring towering stone pillars, hanging stone curtains, elevated stone breasts, inverted stone bells, crisscrossing stone fields, and vividly shaped human, divine, beast, and object figures. Outside the cave, streams babble, and at the cave entrance, a clear spring cascades down from a cliff over 100 meters high, resembling the poetic scene of “waterfall plunging three thousand feet, as if the Milky Way fell from the ninth heaven.” The cave passage alternates between narrow and low sections and broad, lofty chambers.
