The Leping Jinhu Ecological Agricultural Science and Technology Demonstration Base is located in the Leping Seed Farm area in the northeastern part of Leping City, covering an area of 916 acres. Planned and constructed under the Leping Jinhu Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., the base will employ rootstock grafting technology, high-efficiency facility vegetable cultivation techniques, and the “pig-biogas-vegetable” green ecological farming model to carry out standardized production demonstrations of new crop varieties such as yellow-fleshed seedless (pocket-sized) watermelon, southern cantaloupe, netted melon, colorful peppers, purple sweet potato for culinary use, Western pumpkin, and dual-purpose fruit and vegetable tomatoes. The plan includes establishing a 100-acre high-standard facility agricultural demonstration base, a 200-acre organic vegetable demonstration area, and a 700-acre green vegetable demonstration area.
