Lotus Garden

Lotus Garden is a cultural heritage site protected by Leping City.

Lotus Garden was built in 1922 by Wang Zhengyuan, who was formerly an advisor to President Li Yuanhong. It is a courtyard-style Western-style building that blends Chinese and Western architectural elements. The garden features a front courtyard and a rear yard, with two sloped-roof buildings. One of the main floors adopts the "arcade style" introduced from abroad in the mid-19th century, serving as a highly representative historical example of China’s cultural transformation during the modern era. In 1931, it served as the headquarters of the Northeastern Jiangxi Special Committee and is now designated as a patriotic education base. It was listed as a cultural heritage site protected by Leping County in 1983.
