The former site of the Red Tenth Army Command in Lequan is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The former site of the Red Tenth Army Command in Lequan is located beside National Highway 206 in Lequan Village, Jinjiang Town, Yujiang District, Yingtan City. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, this site served as the command post for the Red Tenth Army’s assault on the county seat of Yujiang. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Jiangxi Province.

In April 1930, the Central Military Commission formulated the “Outline of Military Work Plan,” which included an expansion plan for establishing the Red Tenth Army and outlined strategies for advancing toward central cities. The Red Tenth Army set up a temporary command post at the Le Clan Ancestral Hall to discuss the attack on the county seat of Yujiang. After fierce fighting, the Red Tenth Army captured the county seat, achieving its first major victory since its establishment. The Central Committee’s official newspaper, “Red Flag,” gave special coverage to this victory under the title “The Red Tenth Army Captures Yujiang City.” The former site of the Red Tenth Army Command in Lequan holds significant importance in the history of the Soviet Area in Jiangxi.

Jinjiang Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Yujiang District. It is a national pilot town for small-town construction. From the first year of the Duan'gong era of the Song Dynasty (988) to 1962, it served successively as the seat of Anren County and Yujiang County. Originally named Xing’an Town, it was renamed Jinjiang Town during the Qing Dynasty. Located in the northern part of the county, on the eastern bank of the lower reaches of the Xin River, the town government is stationed in Jinjiang, 23 kilometers from the county seat, covering an area of 72 square kilometers with a population of 34,000. National Highway 206 passes through the town.
