Nanfeng Citrus Culture Tourism Industry Cluster Zone

The Nanfeng Citrus Culture Tourism Industry Cluster Zone is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Based on the tourism development needs of the world’s citrus capital—connecting fruit planting, processing and production, trade logistics, and the life of the citrus city—the zone takes the citrus industry as its axis, “millennia-old citrus culture” as its core, green ecology as its environmental foundation, low-carbon economy and modern service industries as its market orientation, and the construction of a “citrus culture industry cluster tourism area” as its engine. With ecology as the priority and protection as the first principle; culture as the guide to establish the brand; integrating resources and optimizing the layout; relying on tourism development to activate economic growth and form a tourism industry cluster; enhancing the city’s quality and forming a “line-connecting-points, points-forming-areas” tourism development pattern of “one core, one ring, and six zones.” It implements a development strategy that advances both “one, two, and three” sectors and “tourism, commerce, and urban development,” achieving two transformations (i.e., promoting the shift of tourism development from being driven by scenic spots to being driven by destinations, and advancing the shift of tourism development momentum from “resource-driven + capital-driven” to “innovation-driven + industry-driven”). The goal is to build: a national 4A-level scenic area, a key project of Jiangxi Province’s strong tourism province initiative, a renowned Chinese destination for unique cultural and scenic tourism, and a national tourism industry cluster zone.
