Xianggang Mountain Tourist Scenic Area

The Xianggang Mountain Tourist Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction.

The Xianggang Mountain (also known as Wanshou Palace) Tourist Scenic Area is located in the town government seat of Zhuliang Town, Nancheng County, covering an area of 102 mu. Wanshou Palace was first built in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties and is a religious cultural tourist attraction that combines both Taoist and Buddhist elements.

In terms of Taoism, it mainly consists of a complex of halls dedicated to the commemoration of Xu Xun Zhenjun, a renowned Taoist figure from the Jin Dynasty; in terms of Buddhism, it primarily enshrines three deities: Guanyin, Ksitigarbha, and Skanda. With its beautiful scenery, it is a jewel among pilgrimage destinations between southeastern Jiangxi and the Fujian-Guangdong region, and is also a rare site in China where Taoist and Buddhist worship coexist. Since the Ming and Qing dynasties, on the annual lunar date of the 19th day of the eighth month, worshippers and tourists flock to Xianggang Mountain’s Wanshou Palace without interruption.
