Mingyue Mountain Tianmu Hot Spring Resort features hot springs as its main product. It boasts geothermal hot springs with over 800 years of history, emerging from granite at a depth of 470 meters underground, with a daily water output of...

...7,000 tons. The water quality is excellent, with the temperature consistently maintained between 68°C and 72°C throughout the year. It is colorless and odorless, characterized by low mineralization, low sodium, high selenium content, and high levels of metasilicic acid. It is a rare selenium-rich hot spring both in China and abroad. National appraisal and testing by the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medical Sciences have shown that this spring has a large water output, is a high-temperature, high-quality mineral spring, has a pure taste, and can be both consumed and used for bathing, contributing to body wellness and strength. The hot spring also contains nearly 20 types of trace elements highly beneficial to the human body, offering significant health benefits for cancer prevention and tumor suppression.

In the open-air hot spring area of Tianmu Resort, surrounded by green mountains, there are over fifty uniquely shaped and functionally diverse hot spring pools crisscrossing the landscape, resembling a jade belt in the mountains. The open-air area is divided into ten major zones: the Traditional Chinese Medicine series including the Taiji Conditioning Eight Pools and Tianmu Specialty Pools; the Beauty and Skin Care series including the Four Beauties Moisturizing Pools; the SPA and Hydrotherapy series including the SPA Hydrotherapy Center, hot spring sauna, and the borderless hot spring swimming pool; the Five Elements of Nature zone; the Historical and Cultural series including the Bamboo Grove Soaking Area and the Mingyue Streamside Area; the Landscape and Forest Area; the Dynamic Water Fun Zone; and the Nude Bathing Area. We have specially designed summer experiences such as the “Snow Drift Pool,” “Salt Mist Bath,” “Hot Spring Cool Mist,” and the nature-worshipping “Nude Bath.” The cool mist created by the hot springs, infused with the fragrance of essential oils from natural plants and flowers, is sprayed throughout the green pathways, under pavilions, and among the landscapes, creating a heavenly atmosphere that instantly brings the coolness of autumn. The dreamlike natural scenery it creates is truly unique. The dynamic water leisure activities, such as wave pools, raft slides, counter-current pools, and underwater fitness in the hot springs, allow visitors to experience the endless excitement of water through movement and stillness, coolness and comfort, enjoying the boundless fun of hot springs all year round.

According to the World Health Organization, selenium is currently the only mineral proven to have anti-cancer effects on humans. Additionally, this spring has significant therapeutic effects on cardiovascular diseases, digestive system disorders, urinary system issues, rheumatoid arthritis, hypertension, chronic gastroenteritis, lumbar muscle strain, and sciatica.

Mingyue Mountain Tianmu Hot Spring Resort includes staff buildings, a conference center, three guest room buildings, a service center, and presidential suites. The hot spring area features 30 traditional Chinese medicine soaking pools. Driving Route from Changsha to Mingyue Mountain Hot Spring Resort:

Changsha–Yongzhou Expressway → Liuyang → Shangli, Jiangxi → Pingxiang → Changjin Expressway → Yichun → Yiyang Avenue → Ping’an Road → The Tianmu Resort is located to the east of Wentang Town.

Beijing–Zhuhai Expressway → Lianyi Highway to Zhuzhou → National Highway 320 to Pingxiang → Changjin Expressway to Xicun → Travel about 10 kilometers east along National Highway 320, follow the sign to Mingyue Mountain Scenic Area, passing by the entrance of Tianmu.

Self-driving Routes from Jiangxi Cities such as Pingxiang and Yichun: You can take either National Highway 320 or the Shanghai–Kunming Expressway. On the outskirts of Yichun City, you can visit the Ancient Astronomical Observatory and the Qinglian Ancient Cave Cliff Inscriptions. The Xiujian River Park in downtown Yichun is also worth a visit. You can go to Wentang Town in the southwest suburbs for hot springs, or explore the Mingyue Mountain Forest Park, which is not far from Yichun. Heading west to Pingxiang, you can first visit the Wugong Mountain, then proceed to downtown Pingxiang to see Anyuan, as well as the Autumn Harvest Uprising Monument Square in the city. Further north via National Highway 319, you can explore Yilong Cave or Yangqi Mountain.

Driving Route from Guangzhou to Mingyue Mountain Hot Spring Resort, Jiangxi: From Guangzhou, take the Beijing–Zhuhai Expressway heading towards Hunan, passing through Shaoguan and Yizhang to enter Hunan, then through Chenzhou, Hengyang, and Zhuzhou, transfer to the Shanghai–Ruili Expressway heading towards Jiangxi. After passing Pingxiang, exit at Xicun. There are Mingyue Mountain signs along the way for about 20 kilometers to reach Wentang Town, or you can exit at Yichun after Xicun.

Wentang Town: Located 18 kilometers southwest of Yichun City, Wentang Town covers an area of 171.6 square kilometers, with 12 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee, and a total population of 21,000. The town boasts two major resources: the national-level Mingyue Mountain Forest Park and the rare underground selenium-rich hot springs in China. It has exceptional conditions for developing tourism. In recent years, with the continuous improvement of infrastructure, Wentang’s tourism and health industry has flourished. In 2005, the town’s fiscal revenue exceeded 10 million RMB for the first time, with per capita rural income reaching 3,360 RMB.
