The Zhuojiang Karst Cave Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Zhuojiang Karst Cave Cluster Scenic Area is located in Sanyang Town, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, 18 kilometers from downtown Yichun. "Zhuojiang Cave" was opened to the public in 1986. Inside the cave, stalactites display a stunning variety of shapes and forms. "Zhuojiang Cave" is also a karst cave in a vigorous development stage, and it grows at an extremely fast rate—over one centimeter in just over ten years. (According to geologists, both "Zhuojiang Cave" and "Bailong Cave" are karst landforms formed approximately 100 million years ago. Typically, stalactites in caves grow only one centimeter every hundred years.) "Zhuojiang Cave" is over 900 meters long in total, with the Golden Palace section covering an area of more than 2,000 square meters, capable of accommodating up to a thousand visitors.

The name "Zhuojiang Cave" comes from the place name Zhuojiang. "Zhuo" means "to drink." Before the construction of the Zhuojiang Reservoir, Zhuojiang was a small river, and all its water flowed into Bailong Cave, as if the cave were drinking up the river—hence the name Zhuojiang Cave.

Some caves are large with smaller ones inside, featuring cave-within-cave structures. Colorful stalactites, stalagmites, and stone pillars densely populate the winding and peculiar caverns, forming shapes resembling birds, beasts, human figures, flowers, plants, and fruits—all wildly diverse and strikingly lifelike. In 1986, the first cave to be developed in the Zhuojiang Karst Cave Cluster was "Lion Cave." The cave is equipped with lighting, and stone steps were carved into the mountain outside. Boating activities have been added on the lake. The cave is about 900 meters deep, generally around 10 meters high, and varies in width from 2 to 20 meters. The cave is built from limestone, making it very solid. Among the cave’s stalagmites, formations such as "Panda Sitting on the Throne," "Turtle Probing the Sea," "Ladies Searching for Their Husbands," "Water Curtain Cave," "Bowing Ostrich," "Stone Tree Reaching the Sky," "Dragon Palace Sea Flowers," "Snow Weighing Down Pine Trees," "Stone Curtain Royal Hall," "Nectar Cave," "Thousand Buddha Mountain," "Stone Waterfall," and "Wooden Fish Stone" are particularly spectacular. The area has also developed new attractions such as the Zhuojiang Resort, a water park, eco-tourism, and religious tourism, attracting a continuous stream of visitors.
