Feijian Tan Scenic Area is a national AA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

Feijian Tan Scenic Area, situated in the northern part of Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, is a large national reservoir and classified as a national water conservancy scenic area. It is named after the legend of Lü Dongbin, the foremost of the Eight Immortals. Only 32 kilometers from downtown Yichun, it lies within the same district as the national forest park and key national scenic spot, Mount Mingyue. The area is surrounded by mountains, with numerous islands scattered across the landscape like emeralds, each uniquely shaped. The peaks here are rugged and striking—some resemble a majestic lion surveying the land, others a golden rooster crowing from a height, a phoenix singing proudly, or a flying dragon coiling through the sky. The reservoir covers an area of 12,000 acres with crystal-clear, unpolluted waters. The lake shimmers under the sunlight, with rippling waves and vast misty expanses that create an open, serene atmosphere. Hundreds of hilltops emerge from the water, like jade ornaments scattered across the lake. Egrets soar overhead, and wild ducks gather in flocks. The endless views of blue water meeting the blue sky offer a breathtaking sight, making it an ideal destination for leisure and vacation. Additionally, Feijian Tan Scenic Area is a land steeped in revolutionary history. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Red Army and Kuomintang forces engaged in several fierce battles here, leaving behind many historic battle sites. The heroic deeds of the Red Army are still widely celebrated, making this a meaningful site for revolutionary education.
