Yichun Terrace

The Yichun Terrace historical site is located within Chuntai Park on Zhongshan Middle Road, Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, and remains well-preserved. The front of Yichun Terrace features a high platform built from city bricks. Standing atop the platform, you can see an imposing three-story pavilion. The pavilion is designed in the hip-and-gable style, with double eaves, four hips, and covered with cylindrical tiles. The ground floor is enclosed by brick railings, while the second and third floors feature wooden flower railings, intricately carved lattice windows, upturned eaves, and painted beams, all combining to create an elegant and exquisite appearance. There are also side rooms in front of the main hall, arranged in a T-shape with the central room. One of the side rooms houses a large stone stele engraved with the two characters “Yi Chun” (宜春), written in the calligraphy of Empress Dowager Cixi.
