Yichun Sports Center is a National AA-level tourist attraction.

Yichun Sports Center is located on the eastern section of Yuanshan Avenue in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. It is a comprehensive public venue that integrates sports competitions, training, large-scale events, cultural performances, and leisure activities.

Facilities

It is home to the China Badminton Training Base and was among the first batch of national “National Fitness Activity Centers.” Located on the eastern section of Yuanshan Avenue in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province, the center covers an area of 338 acres. The venues are clustered together with a highly innovative design that resembles a group of spacecraft. Facilities include a gymnasium, stadium, training hall, swimming pool, and tennis court. Outside the venues, there is a large dry-type musical fountain, cascading pools, and expansive green spaces. It serves as a comprehensive public venue for sports competitions, training, large-scale events, cultural performances, and leisure activities.

Events Hosted

Since its completion in 1998, it has successfully hosted over 120 national, provincial, and municipal sports events and large-scale activities, including the 5th National Peasant Games, the 10th Jiangxi Provincial Games, and the Huaxia Yanhuang Sacred Flame Relay. In addition, with the establishment of the “National Fitness Activity Center,” the sports center has provided even better conditions for local residents to exercise, relax, and enjoy leisure activities. Every day, over 10,000 people visit the square for recreation and fitness. The sports center is also the city’s premier scenic attraction and a must-visit site for guests, receiving nearly 200 visiting groups at various levels each year. Today, Yichun Sports Center has become a source of pride and a beautiful landmark for the people of Yichun.
