The Ming Dynasty City Wall Brick Kiln Sites in Yuanzhou

The Ming Dynasty City Wall Brick Kiln Sites in Yuanzhou are a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Jiangxi Province.

The Ming Dynasty City Wall Brick Kiln Sites in Yuanzhou (including the Huangnineng Kiln Site, Gaotangli Kiln Site, Shimeleng Kiln Site, Shiguleng Kiln Site, Jianzai Kou Kiln Site, Tailishang Kiln Site, Yangjialeng Kiln Site, Emeileng Kiln Site, Luojialeng Kiln Site, Mobeileng Kiln Site, Tanbeileng Kiln Site, Tan Yuan Kiln Site, and Lutang Kiln Site) were built during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty and took 19 years to complete. They consist of two parts: the Xiatang Yuanzhou Ming Dynasty City Wall Brick Kiln Site in Yuanzhou District, Yichun City, and the Lingbei Yuanzhou Ming Dynasty City Wall Brick Kiln Site in Fenyi County, Xinyu City. These two kiln sites are contiguous and are concentrated along the hilly areas on the eastern bank of the Yuan River, specifically in Xiatang Village, Binjiang Town, Yuanzhou District, and Lutang Village, Fenyi Town, Fenyi County.
