Guanyinyan Scenic Area

Guanyinyan Scenic Area, a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, is located in the heart of Sanzhaolun National Forest Park. It gets its name from the giant statue of the Goddess of Mercy on Jianmen Peak and covers a total area of 12.133 square kilometers.

Sanzhaolun Tourism Development Co., Ltd. spent two years comprehensively renovating and upgrading the scenic area, seamlessly blending natural ecology, canyon landscapes, and Guanyin culture to create a premium landscape leisure destination that combines “mountain-water wellness, forest for the eyes, religion for the soul, culture for the spirit, and climate for beauty.”

The new Guanyinyan Scenic Area offers you a variety of fresh experiences:

Eco-wellness Journey: With a forest coverage rate as high as 95.7%, the scenic area is hailed as a “natural gene bank.” The negative oxygen ion content, known as the “vitamin of the air,” reaches a maximum of 109,140 ions per cubic centimeter. Hiking here to breathe in the fresh air can cleanse your lungs and nourish your blood, making it a true “natural oxygen bar.” The average annual temperature in the area is only 13.7–17.5°C, with dense forests, abundant water, and numerous waterfalls, making it an ideal “summer retreat.”

Buddhist Pilgrimage Journey: The Guanyin culture runs through the “Twenty-Four Bridges” within the scenic area. Visitors can embark on a sincere journey of blessings through five themed sections—“Purification,” “Health and Safety,” “Success and Career,” “Marriage and Fertility,” and “Divine Assistance”—culminating in a glimpse of the “true form” of Guanyin. As the saying goes, “Bring along a blessing charm, walk the path of enlightenment; traverse the five blessing routes, with the Goddess of Mercy standing atop the peak.”

Pure Music Journey: Utilizing advanced outdoor sound systems, the scenic area is divided into four themed audio zones. The natural sounds of flowing springs and chirping birds are artfully blended with Buddhist melodies such as “Bodhi Tree,” “Cloud Heart Zen Water,” and “Heart Sutra,” allowing visitors to leave worldly worries behind and immerse themselves in tranquility and peace.

Leisure Sightseeing Journey: The scenic area features cascading streams and waterfalls, breathtaking landscapes of exotic mountains and pristine waters, all painted in rich, vivid hues. Visitors wandering through the misty mountains, emerald peaks, deep pools of jade-like greenery, and the harmony of man and nature may feel as though they’ve entered a realm of transcendence and spiritual elevation. A newly built skywalk in the shape of a “❤️,” named “Soaring Through the Clouds,” not only allows visitors to get up close to the “true form” of Guanyin but also offers thrilling experiences like “Cliffside Views” and “Heart-Stopping Steps.”

Science Education Journey: The scenic area showcases the excellent ecological environment of Sanzhaolun—Jiangxi Province’s only national model forest park—through vividly crafted animal sculptures and informative signage. Exhibits cover water quality, environmental quality, tourism climate, rare tree and animal species, airborne bacterial content, plant phytoncides, and the formation of geological landscapes, offering a rare opportunity to connect with and learn about nature.
