Beihéyuan is located in Xianghu Village, Renshou Town, Jing’an County, about 15 kilometers from the county town. Covering an area of over 3,000 acres, the North River flows through the garden, with a sea of flowers on one side and an ancient camphor forest on the other. Beihéyuan is a comprehensive sightseeing and leisure ecological garden themed around crape myrtle. It integrates seedling cultivation, leisure tourism, conference events, and rural experiences. The garden is home to nearly 100 varieties of flowers, including crape myrtle, crabapple, and camellia—displaying hues of red, purple, blue, white… The vibrant colors, fragrant blooms, and diverse floral displays allow visitors to enjoy the scenery in every season. With its ever-changing views as you stroll and the fragrance of flowers while boating, it is hailed by visitors as an ever-blooming rural ecological garden. The crape myrtle viewing experience is the highlight of Beihéyuan, featuring over a hundred varieties of crape myrtle—the most diverse and unique collection in China. From July to September each year when the crape myrtles are in full bloom, the sea of flowers and crowds merge into a joyful scene, making it a popular destination for locals to admire the blossoms and enjoy leisure time.
