Sanzhualun Canyon Rafting
In Jiangxi Province, Sanzhualun is synonymous with rafting destinations. Whenever tourists think of going rafting, Sanzhualun Rafting is usually the first choice. The main activities include Jinluowan Rafting, Shenxian Valley Surfing, and other rafting and surfing projects, which are distributed along the two tributaries of the Rao River—north and south—and are highly renowned across Jiangxi. There are several reasons for this: First, the rafting and surfing options cater to different types of travelers. There are thrilling adventures for thrill-seekers, as well as leisurely and relaxing floats suitable for all ages. Second, all the routes are set within pristine forest canyons, with lush greenery on both banks and stunning scenery. As you float downstream, you can experience the wonderful feeling of “rafting on water, traveling in a painting.” Third, these spots are all at the source of the Rao River, where the water is crystal clear and unpolluted. Experts have confirmed that it meets the standards for drinking water. Fourth, the area has a large capacity and can accommodate up to 1,000 people for rafting and surfing at one time, with comprehensive facilities for rest, changing, bathing, and safety. Fifth, the rafting and surfing here are self-guided—you paddle your own two-person raft and can fully enjoy the thrill of maneuvering through the water. For those who love excitement, there are steep drops and fast currents, with height differences of over 100 meters and an average flow rate of 6.5 m³/s. With numerous rapids and powerful waves, you’ll rush down the surging river, paddling through the waves amid shrieks and cheers, darting left and right, bravely conquering the rapids. This will give you a strong sense of accomplishment and joy in conquering nature. For those who prefer a more leisurely and relaxing experience, there are gentler rafting options with smaller drops. You can slowly paddle in serene, shimmering pools, drifting or resting along the way, taking in the views, and fully enjoying the comfort and natural beauty of a forest bath and sunbathing. You can “greedily” breathe in the forest’s air rich in negative ions—up to 100,000 per cm³. If you can swim, you can even jump into the water to play with the fish, washing away the summer heat and fatigue in the crystal-clear river. If you meet other rafters along the way, whether you know them or not, you can engage in a fun “water fight” using paddles, buckets, or water guns. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter groups of mandarin ducks, wild ducks, and various water birds joining in the fun. With your guide’s help, identifying the different species adds another layer of enjoyment to the experience—it’s endlessly entertaining.
