Sanping Village in Zhongyuan Township, Jing’an County, is a key development project under the county’s policy-driven ecological conservation and tourism promotion initiatives. Leveraging the village’s favorable ecological environment, it primarily consists of a cluster of family-funded rural guesthouses. Located at the junction of Jing’an, Fengxin, and Xiushui counties, it lies to the east of Baiyun Peak (“Flying Clouds over Embroidered Valley”), one of Jing’an’s top ten scenic spots, borders the ancient Jiuxian Spring (“Nine Immortals’ Hot Spring”), a thousand-year-old yin-yang hot spring in Fengxin to the south, connects to the ancient Shaokou customs checkpoint from the late Ming Dynasty—a trade hub in Xiushui—to the west, and is backed by Jiulingjian, the highest peak of the Jiuling Mountains in northern Jiangxi, to the north. Situated at the southern end of the Gaoling Basin in Zhongyuan Township, the terrain stretches from north to south. In summer, the southern winds bring fresh and breezy air. With a forest coverage rate of over 90% and a negative ion concentration of 130,000 per cubic centimeter, the area spans approximately 3 kilometers in length and 1.5 kilometers in width, with an average elevation of 700 meters. It serves as the water source for the Beiliaoh River, one of the five major water systems of Poyang Lake, through which both the Beiliaoh River and Provincial Highway S223 run. The resort is about 100 kilometers from Nanchang, the provincial capital, and lies within Nanchang’s one-hour economic circle and the Changjiu Economic Corridor. It is just 20 kilometers from the Shangfu Town interchange on the Changtong Expressway in Fengxin. As the coolest village in the region during summer, its temperatures are 1–3°C lower than surrounding areas and 6–10°C lower than Nanchang. In recent years, CCTV1, CCTV2, Jiangxi Satellite TV, and Yichun local channels have all featured Sanping Resort. In 2015, it was hailed by CCTV as the “Happy Migratory Birds’ Village” for urban dwellers seeking summer refuge and as “Jiangxi’s Natural Oxygen Bar.” That same year, it was also awarded the title of “Five-Star Rural Destination” in Jiangxi Province. It is the ideal summer retreat and eco-agritainment destination for residents of Nanchang and nearby cities.

Transportation

I. Driving Route: Total Distance ~107.01 km

Starting Point: Nanchang City – Changtong Expressway – S223

1. Drive 5.3 km along Xiangyun Avenue, then enter the Western Hub of Nanchang Ring Expressway.

2. Drive 70 m along the Changtong Expressway, then continue straight onto the Changtong Expressway.

3. Drive 77.7 km along the Changtong Expressway, enter Shangfu Town in Fengxin County, then turn right into the Shangfu Interchange.

4. Drive 360 m along the Shangfu Interchange, pass through approximately 950 m within Shangfu Town,

5. Then enter Provincial Highway S223, turn right toward Zaoxi Township and Jiuxian direction,

6. Drive 20 km along S223, pass through Zaoxi Township to reach the Jiuxian Village Tourism Development Zone,

7. Drive straight for about 2 km, go uphill continuously over the mountain pass, and you will arrive at the Sanping Village Summer Resort in Zhongyuan Township, Jing’an County.
