Located in the northwest of Jiangxi Province, about 110 kilometers from the provincial capital Nanchang, to the north of Sanping Resort, it is the ninth highest peak in Jiangxi. The mountain stretches from northeast to southwest, with its southwestern section extending into the northeastern part of Hunan Province. To the north lies the Xiushui River Valley, and to the south is the Jinjiang River Valley. It is primarily composed of granite and metamorphic rock. As the highest peak in northern Jiangxi, Jiulingjian (1,794m) stands in the heart of the central section of the Jiuling Mountain Range. The peak area features boundary markers established by the State Council for the three counties of Jing’an, Xiushui, and Wuning. The misty Thirty-Two Peaks form a spectacular range, while the breathtaking 100,000-mu alpine meadow offers stunning scenery in all four seasons, making it an outdoor paradise for hikers and backpackers.
