Wanbao Reservoir

Built in 1959, it is situated in the western part of Miaoxia Village, Jinjiang Township, 38 kilometers from the county seat. The water is crystal clear, and its ten-mile waterway winds through the mountains. Wooden rafts and motorboats navigate the lake, while water birds are frequently seen. The surrounding hills are covered with overlapping green peaks, ancient towering trees, dense fir forests, and are dotted with delicate bamboo groves, lush citrus orchards, and tea plantations. The reservoir area boasts a rich diversity of flora and fauna, including animals such as leopards, wild deer, antelope, pangolins, mandarin ducks, and white sparrows, as well as plants like ginkgo, nanmu, kiwi fruit, and plum trees. To the south of the reservoir lies Ziyun Peak, characterized by its steep and majestic terrain, where many scenic spots are concentrated.

Ancient Vines

Located halfway up the second peak of Ziyun Peak, extending from southeast to northwest, these intertwined vines sprawl over half of the mountainside, with the thicker ones having diameters of 14–16 centimeters.　

Upper Cave

Situated 1 kilometer southwest of Tangjia Village, facing north, the cave is 6 meters high, 6 meters wide, and 15 meters deep, with the sound of dripping water echoing from the rock crevices on the walls.　

Stone Bamboo Shoot Supporting Pine

Located 40 meters west of the Upper Cave, a protruding stone resembling a bamboo shoot supports a tall pine tree with straight trunk and gnarled branches.　

Cliff Overlook

Located about 300 meters north-northwest of the Upper Cave, this cliff is 50 meters high and 80 meters wide, as steep as a wall. Standing atop it offers an expansive view, with distant and nearby landscapes spread out before your eyes.　

Tiger Head Cliff

About 1 kilometer southeast of the Cliff Overlook stands a massive rock that faces the overlook from afar, resembling a tiger’s head roaring toward the sky when viewed from the overlook.　

Chessboard Rock

Located 40 meters directly north of the Cliff Overlook, it is 30 meters high and 40 meters wide, with a flat surface covering about 70 square meters. Faint animal footprints—said to be of cattle, horses, and dogs—are still visible on the rock.　

Peacock Displaying Its Feathers

Located on the southern side of the Cliff Overlook, a fan-shaped rock strikingly resembles a peacock spreading its tail feathers.　

Lion Riding a Turtle

Found on a cliff wall about 100 meters northwest of the Chessboard Rock, there is a rock formation that looks like a lion riding a turtle.　

Two Lanterns

About 100 meters west of the Lion Riding a Turtle rock are two symmetrical stones that emit a whitish glow at night, hence their name.　

Ziyun Fort Ruins

Located at the summit of the fourth peak of Ziyun Peak, extending from southeast to northwest. Legend has it that a mountain stronghold king once resided here, and today the ruins of scattered stone walls can still be seen.

Cliff Cave Wall

Located at the northwest end of Ziyun Peak, the entire mountainside features a massive, steep cliff wall with five caves, the top two of which are interconnected. To the left of the connected caves is a rock that strikingly resembles a fox peering into a cave.　

Horse-Riding Alley

Situated at the right end of the Cliff Cave Wall, where the mountain suddenly fractures, splitting the rocks to form a narrow passage. The alley is 12 meters long, less than 1 meter wide, and 18 meters high.　

Bao Shuiya Waterfall

Located 2 kilometers west of Genmawan Village at the border with Ji’an County, the waterfall is 7 meters wide with a drop of over 30 meters, cascading into a deep pool that fans out broadly. Additionally, near Nankeng, there are attractions such as the Cool Umbrella Rock, Treasure Basin, and Mountain-Piercing Cave.
