Fuhui Bridge

Fuhui Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Xiajiang County.

Fuhui Bridge is located in Yixi Village Committee, Shuibian Town. The original bridge was 24 meters long and 2 meters wide, with four piers and three spans. Two iron toads were embedded in the piers in the water, and the original bridge deck was paved with wooden planks, flanked by wooden railings. By the late 1960s, these had all decayed and were later replaced with cement. The bridge is now 52 meters long, 4 meters wide, and 5.5 meters high.

The bridge was built in the third year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1725) by Zeng Zhirui (a native of Yixi Village, Shuibian Town). Zou Shi, a local imperial examination graduate, wrote "The Record of Fuhui Bridge." From a distance, it resembles a silk ribbon floating above the river. Despite being over 200 years old, it remains well-preserved. In July 1984, it was listed as one of the first batch of cultural relic protection units in Xiajiang County.

Yixi Village: Yixi Village Committee is located east of Shuibian Town Government, 0.5 kilometers from Xiajiang Railway Station. The village covers an area of 2 square kilometers, with 1,350 mu of arable land, over 5,000 mu of forest land, and 15 mu of water area. It administers two natural villages and 10 village groups, with a rural population of 1,584 people, an average income of 3,000 yuan, and an annual collective economic income of 80,000 yuan.
