Yixi Cheng'en Hall

Yixi Cheng'en Hall is a cultural heritage site protected by Jiangxi Province.

Yixi Cheng'en Hall is located in Yixi Village, Shuibian Town. The existing structure was rebuilt during the Qing Dynasty, covering an area of 692 square meters. It features a front plaza, with a flagstone inscribed with “Imperial Grace” standing in front of the main gate. The three-bay, three-story gate is covered with blue tiles and white plaster, flanked by a pair of flat drum-shaped stones. Visitors enter the main hall through a courtyard and corridor. The hall has a two-courtyard layout with five bays, and its H-shaped red stone pillars are engraved with couplets in regular script, clerical script, and seal script. Lion-and-ball carvings support the pillar brackets, all finely crafted. Hanging inside the hall is a black plaque with golden characters reading “Cheng’en Hall,” a relic from the Daoguang era of the Qing Dynasty, well preserved.

In July 1984, it was listed as one of the first batch of cultural heritage sites protected by Xiajiang County.

Yixi Village: The Yixi Village Committee is located to the east of the Shuibian Town government, 0.5 kilometers from Xiajiang Railway Station. The village covers an area of 2 square kilometers, with 1,350 mu of arable land, over 5,000 mu of forestland, and 15 mu of water area. It administers two natural villages and 10 village groups, with a rural population of 1,584 and an average per capita income of 3,000 yuan. The village collective economy generates an annual income of 80,000 yuan.

The Yixi Village Party Branch currently has 40 members, including 19 members aged 60 or above, accounting for 47%, and 9 members under 35, accounting for 22%. The village committee office is located in the former elementary school campus... More details about Yixi Village ++
