I. General Information

The Modern Agriculture Demonstration Park of Jizhou District is located near Maxia Reservoir in Xingqiao Town, adjacent to the ancient Diaoyuan Village. It enjoys convenient transportation and beautiful scenery. The park adheres to the concept of “establishing the park on ecological sustainability and revitalizing it through science and technology-driven industries.” It integrates modern eco-agriculture, refined agriculture from Taiwan, leisure sightseeing agriculture, and agricultural science education into one. The development follows a model of “government-led, enterprise-driven, multi-party interaction, and market operation,” with phased construction. The first phase of the park has largely completed its “six major functional zones,” while the second phase involves the development of the Ji’an Furon Taiwan Garden, aiming to create an urban backyard garden for production, leisure, sightseeing, and tourism. The park has established a management office, with a planned area of 30,000 mu, a built-up area of 3,000 mu, and nearly 100 million yuan invested. It has formed key industries including rice, Jinggang honey pomelo, green vegetables, and leisure tourism. It has been approved by the provincial Department of Science and Technology and Department of Agriculture as a modern agricultural science and technology demonstration park and a leisure agriculture demonstration site.

II. Main Features

The park is an agricultural science and technology zone that combines agricultural research, special breeding and planting, sightseeing tourism, rural vacationing, and leisure entertainment, making it a great destination for citizens to relax and sightsee. The Taiwan Garden has established three main areas: a planting zone featuring lavender, goji berries, Japanese maple, osmanthus, cherry blossoms, crape myrtle, Taiwan specialty fruits, and daylilies; an entertainment zone with Roman column leisure squares, children’s playgrounds, windmill pavilions, wedding photography spots, DIY classrooms, log cabin clusters, glass houses, grass skiing slopes, observation decks, camping areas, barbecue zones, wishing platforms, and beaches; and a breeding zone focusing on black-feathered chickens, goats, and special fish species. Currently, the park receives around 10,000 visitors per month, with approximately 170 couples coming each month to take wedding photos.

III. Service Offerings

Vegetable and fruit picking, demonstrations of new vegetable cultivation methods,

flower and plant appreciation, team-building activities, farming experiences, fishing, cycling, boating, wedding photography, farm stays, and more—offering an immersive experience of pastoral scenery and rural flavors.

Jinggang honey pomelo, green vegetables, lavender products, goji berries, black-feathered chickens, goats, and more.

V. Directions

Within Ji’an City, take bus No. 203 from People’s Square to the Diaoyuan Ancient Village scenic area. For self-driving, exit at the Ji’an South interchange of the Da-Guang Expressway and drive 16 kilometers toward Anfu.
