Jinxi Cultural Ancient Village is a cultural tourism destination.

A key tourist attraction in Yongfeng County. Located within Taotang Township, it lies 5 kilometers from the township government. Its history dates back to the early years of the Xianheng era in the Tang Dynasty, spanning over a thousand years to become a living witness to Yongfeng’s past. Since the Shaoxing era of the Song Dynasty, the area has produced numerous officials and merchants. From the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing dynasties, more than ten scholars from the village achieved the title of Jinshi (advanced scholar). The village features an ancient and simple folk culture, splendid architecture, and distinct Jiangnan characteristics. The overall layout is divided into two symmetrical sections using the Jinxi River as the axis, preserving the original appearance from the Ming and Qing dynasties. Over 20 Ming and Qing buildings remain intact, along with 3 ancestral halls and 4 academies. Most residences are built along the water, with the village laid out in a prayer-hands formation, staggered yet harmonious. Each household features an ornate gate pillar, while the archways, gate towers, eaves, and couplets are all finely carved with exquisite designs. The gently flowing stream, long and quiet alleys, ancient courtyards, and towering old trees faintly echo the prosperity of the Ming and Qing periods. Since ancient times, the area has enjoyed a thriving literary culture, producing many talented individuals and maintaining a rich cultural atmosphere. It is an ancient village integrating architecture, antiquity, and culture.

Dongkeng Town: Located in the central part of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, Dongkeng Town lies along the economic corridor connecting Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong. It has a well-developed road network, situated 70 kilometers north of Guangzhou, 60 kilometers south of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, 5 kilometers from Dongguan Railway Station, and 90 kilometers from Hong Kong. The town borders five other towns in Dongguan—Liaobu, Dalang, Changping, Hengli, and Chashan—to the east, south, west, and north respectively, and is part of a semi-flatland and semi-hilly region. The town covers an area of 27.5 square kilometers, with a permanent population of 28,000 and a floating population of over 100,000. The town government is located 20 kilometers from the central urban area of Dongguan.
