Bajiao Bayi Tower

Bajiao Bayi Tower is a cultural relic protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

Bayi Tower, also known as the Literary Tower, is located on a small islet shaped like a rhinoceros descending into the sea at the confluence of the Tengba River and the En River, southwest of Bajiao Village, Bajiang Township, Yongfeng. The tower is built of brick and wood, standing approximately 28.6 meters tall. Floors one to five feature both inner and outer walls, with stone steps spiraling counterclockwise between them. Entering through one door, visitors can ascend via separate stairways on the left and right without crossing paths—ascending right leads to the fourth floor, ascending left leads to the fifth floor. Each level has a floor surface, with beautiful design and exquisite craftsmanship. Legend has it that the tower was built by the wife of a scholar, and it is also referred to as the "Wishful Husbands Tower."
