Bexia Village

Bexia Ancient Village is located in the central region of Jiangxi Province, specifically in Bexia Village, Futian Town, Qingyuan District, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province. The village covers an area of approximately 1.5 square kilometers and is home to over 400 households and 1,800 residents. Most villagers have the surname Hu, with a smaller portion surnamed Luo. The entire village speaks the Gan dialect and belongs to the Jiangyou ethnic group.

Bexia Village is also one of China’s famous historical and cultural villages, as well as a renowned revolutionary site, known as the “Red Ancient Village.” Mao Zedong, Zhu De, and others once worked and fought here. In 2008, Bexia Village in Futian Town, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province was included in the fourth batch of China's Historical and Cultural Villages list.

From August 22 to 24, 2015, the third season of Hunan TV’s “Where Are We Going, Dad?” was filmed here.

Futian Town in Qingyuan District is situated in the hometown of national hero Wen Tianxiang, on the banks of the Fushui River. It is 56 km from downtown Ji'an and falls within the half-hour economic circle. The town covers an area of 216 square kilometers and borders Taihe, Jishui, and Yongfeng counties. The area enjoys ample electricity supply, convenient transportation, and an extensive communication network. The Baiyun Mountain Hydropower Station is located here, generating 80 million kWh of electricity annually. Its abundant power resources attract domestic and overseas investors, leading to the establishment of many foreign-invested enterprises.
