The former sites of the Southwest Jiangxi Soviet Government and the Jiangxi Soviet Government are located at the Wanshou Palace in Potou, Wenbei Township. The Southwest Jiangxi Soviet Government, which was decided to be established at the First Congress of the CPC Southwest Jiangxi Special Committee held on March 22, 1930, later relocated here from Ji’an. In 1985, it was listed as a county-level cultural heritage protection unit.

Wenbei Town: Wenbei Town is located in the central part of Qingyuan District, 28 kilometers from the city center. It borders Jishui County to the east, Taihe County to the west, and connects to Xinxu Town and Zhixia Town of the same district to the north and south respectively. The town covers a total area of 40.2 square kilometers, with 15,700 mu of arable land. It currently administers 10 administrative villages and 1 neighborhood committee, with a population of 13,952.

Wenbei Township was once the location of the revolutionary base in southwest Jiangxi and the Jiangxi Soviet Government.
