The Chengjing Hall of Futian Village

The Chengjing Hall of Futian Village is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

The Chengjing Hall of Futian Village was first built in the mid-Ming Dynasty and is currently the largest standalone ancestral hall in Jiangxi. It consists of a front square, a gate tower, a front hall, a courtyard, a worship pavilion, a main hall, and an ancestral worship hall, covering an area of approximately 6,500 square meters. The materials used in the hall are exquisite, with the two pillars in the main hall each having a diameter of over one meter. There are also seven branch halls: the Zunle Hall, Renxin Hall, Sidex Hall, Jianbai Hall, Houshan Hall, Yile Hall, and Fayuan Hall.

In May 2013, the State Council (State Council Document [2013] No. 13) announced the Chengjing Hall of Futian Village as part of the seventh batch of National Key Cultural Relics Protection Units.

Located in Qingyuan District, Futian Town sits in the hometown of national hero Wen Tianxiang, on the banks of the Fushui River, and is 56 km from downtown Ji'an, within the half-hour economic circle. The town covers an area of 216 square kilometers and borders Taihe, Jishui, and Yongfeng counties. The area enjoys abundant electricity, convenient transportation, and an extensive communication network. The Baiyun Mountain Hydropower Station is located in the town, with an annual power generation capacity of 80 million kWh. Its rich power resources attract investors from home and abroad, leading to the establishment of numerous foreign-invested enterprises.
