The Former Residence of Zeng Shan in Meibei is a cultural heritage protection unit of Jiangxi Province.

The Former Residence of Zeng Shan in Meibei is located in the ancient village of Meibei, Qingyuan District. In March 2018, it was designated as part of the sixth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units in Jiangxi Province.

Zeng Shan’s former residence is at No. 3 in the village of Meibei, where Mao Zedong also once stayed. When the Soviet Government of Southwest Jiangxi was established, Comrade Zeng Shan served as its chairman, and the government offices were located in the Wanshou Palace.

Meibei Village: Meibei Village is situated in Wenbei Township, Qingyuan District, Ji’an City, Jiangxi Province. It combines the legacy of an advanced ancient commercial civilization with red culture. The area boasts grand Ming and Qing dynasty architecture densely clustered together. Countless stone carvings, wood carvings, painted artworks, couplets, plaques, and carved screens all subtly reflect the extraordinary wisdom and lifestyle interests of the people of Luling, shining a light on the profound and extensive brilliance of Luling culture, while also recording the vicissitudes of this historic revolutionary land.
